Mental health and wellbeing in school during a time of uncertainty

2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, and it has been especially difficult for teachers who are not only dealing with their own wellbeing, but those of their students too.

With this in mind, Paul Ellis, Head of Teaching and Learning from Cambridge Assessment International Education, and Jo Morton-Brown an Emotional Health Practitioner from Flourish, have created a webinar to help.

Topics include:

• Developing an awareness of the impact that Covid-19 is having on your students

• Understanding the possible thoughts, concerns and anxieties they may be having

• Identifying vulnerable groups

• Strategies to use as you continue to support your students

Remember to share this webinar with friends and colleagues if you find it useful. Also take a look at Jo’s YouTube channel, Flourish, where she provides wellbeing advice for children aged 10-19.

From how to be a good listener, to calming a restless mind, the videos make excellent starter activities and discussion points for your lessons.
